TikTok Video Download Not Working – How to Fix It (2025)
If your TikTok download is failing, this guide covers the most common reasons and how to fix each one.
Fix 1 — The video is private or deleted
AdvaySnapTik can only download public videos. If the creator has set their account to private or deleted the video, extraction will fail. Check that the video is still visible when you open the link in a browser.
Fix 2 — You copied the wrong link
Make sure you're copying the video link, not a profile link or a link to a sound page. The URL should contain /video/ or be a short vm.tiktok.com link.
Fix 3 — The link has expired
Some shared TikTok links expire after a short time. Go back to TikTok, find the video again, and copy a fresh link.
Fix 4 — TikTok updated their page structure
Occasionally TikTok changes how their pages render data. AdvaySnapTik uses two extraction methods — if one fails it tries the other. If both fail, try again in a few hours or report the issue.
Fix 5 — Browser is blocking the download
Some browsers block automatic file downloads. When the download starts, look for a popup asking permission to download the file and tap Allow.
Fix 6 — Rate limit hit
If you're downloading many videos rapidly you may hit the rate limit (30 requests/minute for the web UI). Wait 60 seconds and try again.
